Hello! We serve with Global Media Outreach (GMO), and are on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru). We are humbled and blessed by the Lord’s work around the world through this ministry. Every day, we can come to work and ask the Lord where in the world He will use us to serve Him that day! We invite you to read more about the Lord’s work through Global Media Outreach!
To tell you a little about our backgrounds, we were both blessed to grow up in Christian families where our parents told us about the Lord and His great love for us.
Margaret: I grew up near Memphis, TN. I came to know the Lord on September 11, 1984 when I shared with my parents that I wanted to pray to receive the Lord into my heart. The Lord used my family, church, Christian school and a 3 year battle with cancer to help me grow in my walk with Him. The Lord also used my time at college (Union University) to teach me more about Himself and to call me into full-time ministry. I joined the staff team of Campus Crusade in 2003 and spent my first 3 years working with college students at Eastern Kentucky University. From June 2006 til December 2009, I served in the HR department for the National Campus Ministry in Orlando, FL.
In my free time I love to cook (and Matt loves to eat!) and I’m crazy about making things with my sewing machine, crocheting and making cards or scrapbooks. We have a really cute dog, Myles who keeps us laughing. Matt and I love hanging out with our friends and playing games.
Matt: I grew up in Seattle, WA. The Lord used my college years at Seattle University and Iowa State University to draw me to Himself and to bring me into a personal relationship with the Lord. He allowed me to grow in my faith through my involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ during this time. After completing my Master’s degree in Economics and Statistics, I came on staff with Campus Crusade, and spent the next 2 years at Iowa State. From May 2007 til January 2010, I served as an assistant to the President of Campus Crusade for Christ.
We met through Cru during the summer of 2007, began dating a few months later and were married on November 2009!
